Organs

The National Board works daily to represent the interests of (psychology) students and coordinate the entire student section. The Students in Sections (SiSers) represent the voice of students in various sections of psychology. The national committees and nine city boards organise all kinds of activities at national and regional level. The Internship Bank Recruiters keep our Internship Bank up to date. In addition, SPS-NIP represents the voice of Dutch psychology students at the international level as a member organisation of the European Federation of Psychology Students Associations (EFPSA).

Urban governance

An SPS-NIP City Board is located in every city in the Netherlands where a bachelor’s degree in psychology is offered.

Each academic year, the Municipal Boards organise six to seven different study and career-related activities at the university. These activities give you an insight into the various fields of psychology. They include career days such as the Experience Your Future days, lectures, workshops and networking activities. Both Dutch and English-language activities are organised. The activities are organised with a view to preparing students for the professional field.

Committees

Not only municipal councils organise career exploration activities, but the National Congress Committee of SPS-NIP is also committed to helping students take a step further in their future. The committee organises one of SPS-NIP’s largest activities, namely the annual psychology congress. During this day, there are several rounds with a choice of lectures by 30 different psychologists from various fields of psychology.

The committee can also be found on Instagram! Click on the name to visit this page.

The Promotion Committee and the Audit Committee support the National Board of SPS-NIP.

The EFPSA committee brings you into closer contact with psychology students throughout Europe.

Student in Section

The Dutch Institute of Psychologists (NIP) is divided into 13 sections, 3 chambers and a number of networks, each representing its own field of work within psychology. Currently, there are also members of SPS-NIP active within the various section boards. These sections organise meetings, share knowledge and promote the interests of psychologists. As a result, students in these sections receive information that you would not normally hear about during your studies.

Do you have questions about a particular field within psychology, or would you like to know what you can do to start working in this field? Ask a Student in Section!
